Purdue left tackle Garret Miller is out for the season with a foot injury.
October 16th, 2008 Posted in NCAA football newsPurdue left tackle Garret Miller is out for the season with a foot injury. That will require surgery, the school announced Wednesday.
A 6-8, 275-pound senior that has started every game this season, Miller suffered the injury during last Saturdays 16-3 loss to Ohio State.
According to Purdue head coach Joe Tiller, Miller has to have three screws inserted into his foot.
I feel bad for Garret because his career has been one filled with injury, Tiller said. He was emotionally distraught last night over this, because he wanted in the worst way to finish his senior year.
Miller has struggled with various knee problems, as well as ankle and shoulder issues, throughout his collegiate career.
Fellow senior Sean Sester, who had been a three-year starter before undergoing back surgery this offseason, will replace Miller in the starting lineup.
Sester held up pretty well (against Ohio State), Tiller said. He played the most plays hes played all year and held up.
