Georgia releases Miller from scholarship

April 22nd, 2009 Posted in NCAA basketball news, NCAA college basketball

New Georgia coach Mark Fox has granted signee Daniel Miller a release from the letter-of-intent he signed with the school.

The 6-foot-11 Miller signed with Georgia during the early signing period in November. That was before athletic director Damon Evans fired former coach Dennis Felton in January and hired Fox.

Fox says in a statement Tuesday that Millers family requested that Miller be freed to sign with another school.
