Bartow gets 2-year contract extension at ETSU
July 24th, 2009 Posted in NCAA basketball news, NCAA college basketballMurry Bartow has been given a two-year contract extension as head basketball coach at East Tennessee State University.
The school said in a news release Thursday that his contract now runs through the end of the 2013-14 season.
Bartow, in six seasons at ETSU, has a 118-72 record. He led the Bucs to conference championships in 2004, 2007 and 2009, along with trips to the NCAA Tournament in 2004 and 2009, and a berth in the NIT in 2007.
There is still more we can do, Bartow said in a statement released by the university.
Hes the son of longtime college coach legend Gene Bartow.
