NO 8 WEST Virginia 73, Texas AM 66 – At Anaheim, Calif, DaSean Butler scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half to lead No 8 West Virginia over Texas AM in the 76 Classic at the Anaheim Convention Center. Butler added five rebounds and five assists for the Mountaineers (4-0), who advanced to Sundays tournament final. Devin Ebanks came off the bench to score 14 points and grab nine rebounds, and Darryl Bryant chipped in with 12 points. B.J. Holmes and Donald Sloan scored 18 points apiece for the Aggies (5-1). Bryan Davis added a season-high 10 rebounds.

NO. 10 Syracuse 85, Columbia 60 — At Syracuse, N.Y., Wes Johnson had a career-high 26 points, Arinze Onuaku added 12 points, and No. 10 Syracuse beat Columbia. It was the 805th career win for Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, seventh all-time in Division I and one more than Eddie Sutton. Facing its second straight Ivy League opponent, Syracuse (6-0) struggled to pull away from the Lions (2-2) in the first half before dominating the second. Noruwa Agho finished with 22 points for Columbia.

Marquette 79, NO. 15 Michigan 65 — At Orlando, Fla., Lazar Hayward scored 22 points and Jimmy Butler had 17 to lead Marquette past No. 15 Michigan at the Old Spice Classic. Darius Johnson-Odom added 14 points for Marquette (6-0), which will play in the tournament championship game Sunday. Michigan (3-1) got 22 points from Manny Harris. Hayward scored six points and Butler added four in a 10-0 run by Marquette that made it 58-47 with 12 minutes to play.

Northwestern 72, NO. 23 Notre Dame 58 — At Chicago, John Shurna scored a career-high 25 points and freshman Alex Marcotullio made a pair of key 3-pointers in the second half Friday night as Northwestern beat No. 23 Notre Dame in the Chicago Invitational Challenge. Northwestern (4-1) will face Iowa State in the finals tonight at the UIC Pavilion.

Rutgers 83, Massachusetts 75 — At Atlantic City, N.J., Mike Rosario scored 22 points and Hamady Ndiaye added 14 to lead Rutgers over Massachusetts on Friday night in the Legends Classic. Rutgers (3-1) will play Florida in the final tonight. Ricky Harris keyed a late run for the Minutemen (2-3) that wiped out a double-digit deficit and scored 22 points.

South Florida 78, Florida ATLANTIC 58 — At Tampa, Fla., Augustus Gilchrist scored a career-high 27 points and had seven rebounds, leading South Florida past Florida Atlantic. Chris Howard scored a season-high 15 points, six rebounds and four assists for South Florida (6-1). Dominique Jones contributed 11 points, 10 assists and four rebounds for the Bulls.

ST. JOHNS 77, Siena 68 — At Philadelphia, D.J. Kennedy scored 23 points to lead St. Johns over Siena in the Philly Hoop Group Classic. Kennedy shot 8-for-12 from the field while also adding six rebounds and five assists for the Red Storm (4-0). Dwight Hardy also chipped in with 13 points.
